  • Power, Influence and Authority and how these inform the role of a Manager
  • The contract of employment and the psychological contract in relation to the role and duties of a Manager
  • What is a Leader?
  • Leadership styles
  • What is the difference between a Leader and a Manager?
  • Team Work – stages of team development, roles within teams, how effective is your team and how might this be improved?
  • The process of change management, resistance to change and strategies to overcome resistance
  • The role of Quality Assurance, auditing effectiveness and performance management
  • Action Planning: the way ahead
